I am writing to send you a huge thank you for seeing baby René and I. His adjustment really changed us both for the better!
Before he got adjusted René had a difficult time sleeping. He'd wake up out of a seemingly deep sleep - and cry and cry. Finally he'd go to sleep again, only to wake up 30 minutes later and do it all over again until he was exhausted enough to sleep for a couple hours. Not being able to sleep made him gripe a lot - it wasn't terrible, but it was clear he just wasn't comfortable. But I didn't know any different - I just thought that's what babies did!
At the recommendation of a family member who brings her babies to you, I brought René in for an adjustment when he was about 7 weeks old. Right before we went in, he woke from his sleep and broke out into his 'hurting' cry (as I've come to call it), and after his adjustment, which took about one minute, he fell asleep - and stayed asleep - for a couple hours. He would wake up for feedings and fall right back to sleep. The second amazing change in him was that when he woke up, he would smile and laugh and 'hang out' - which he rarely did before. Before if he was awake, he was usually griping or crying, and demanded to be held and rocked and walked... Now after the adjustment, he'll sit in my arms or in his carrier/bouncey seat, and will play and look around until he gets tired and falls asleep. And believe it or not, he doesn't need his pacifier like he did before - he still uses it, but much less frequently. And while of course he still cries, now it is only when he is actually hungry or needs a new diaper. That 'hurting' cry and the discomfort seem to be gone!
It has now been two weeks since the adjustment, and the baby is doing great. I've been calling him my 'new baby' because life is just so different for us both than it was before. I will continue with adjustments and recommend chiropractic care to any Mom with an unhappy baby. It really made a huge difference for us, and we are so grateful to Dr. Joseph for his help!
