Your Second Visit at Joseph & Hishon Chiropractic

After we study your health history and correlate our examination findings, we’ll make recommendations designed to help you get and keep your health. We call this the Report of Findings. This is usually attended to on your second visit, which may be later the same day or the following day. This two-visit approach accomplishes several things:

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.
  • Reduces the length of your first visit
  • Gives us time to correlate our findings
  • Avoids overloading you with too much information

In certain situations, and in the professional judgment of Dr. Joseph and Dr. Hishon, we sometimes make exceptions. It just depends on your unique situation.

Peoria Chiropractor, Dr. Heath HishonPlan on spending approximately 45 minutes with your doctor on your second visit. Dr. Joseph and Dr. Hishon will take all the time necessary to ensure you fully understand what is wrong with you, what treatments are necessary in order for you to feel better, how long it will take, and what your insurance will or will not cover. Unfortunately, not everyone who walks into our office is a good candidate for our treatment(s). You see, if we do not feel you will get relief and/or benefit from what we offer then we will without hesitation refer you to someone who we feel can. On the other hand, if Dr. Joseph and Dr. Hishon do feel you are a good candidate then you will now receive your much anticipated first treatment. It is natural to for patients to be a little nervous or apprehensive just prior to their first treatment. Both Dr. Joseph and Dr. Hishon recognize this and make every effort possible to gently ease you into a treatment. Immediately after your first treatment we often hear patients say, “Wow, that was not what I expected, that felt great…thank you.”

Following your treatment, you will be greeted and congratulated by our friendly “Appointment Scheduler”. She will work with and your schedule choosing convenient times, make sure you have no further questions and congratulate you on taking your first step in living a more healthy and happier life. Lastly, don’t be surprised if you get a phone call at home that evening from Dr. Joseph or Dr. Hishon making sure you have no additional questions and that you tolerated your first treatment well.

The bottom line is, we simply care about your health.

How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
Are aches and pains good or bad?
While aches or pains may be unpleasant, they're merely warning signs. As a Peoria chiropractor, I see this all the time. The pain is not the problem! It just means a limitation has been reached and something needs to change. That's when we get to work correcting the underlying cause.
